Young they may be but Tom and Alex Ridout, both finalists in the Young Jazz Musician of the Year 2017, come with their dad, Mark Ridout on guitar, to show that the future of the music is in good hands.
Jose Fallot/ Etienne Brachet Band
Two of Paris' most sought-after musicians bring their stella band to the Spin for their first UK tour. José Fallot on bass and Etienne Brachet on drums - a first-call ryhthm section in France - have a massive discography between them plus a CV that includes gigs and recordings with such heavyweights as Mike Stern and Birelli Lagrene!

Time is of the Essence bring their splendid fusion of Hammond jazz to the club. A mix of 60s groove, contemporary originals and standards.
Oxley-Meier Guitar Project
'The Oxley - Meier Guitar Project' bring their fiesty fare to The Spin as part of their extensive spring tour, performing selections from their current album, 'The Colours Of Time'. A 4-star review in The Observer described the leaders thus:

Jamie O'Donnell With The Spin Trio feat. Alex Hutton

Nigel Price With The Spin Trio
Starting his professional career in his early 20s, Nigel toured Europe with various reggae and funk bands before settling on a solo guitar career and turning his attention to jazz. His career highlights include a support show for Gladys Knight at The Royal Albert Hall and an appearance on Van Morrison’s recent album Keep Me Singing.

Mark Lockheart kicks off the new year with his trio project featuring two other superb musicians, Liam Noble on piano and Jasper Hoiby on double bass. Although the three of them have worked together over many years, it was at the Rochester International Jazz Festival in New York 2014 when the project came together.
