This is a real treat for The Spin. Julian Siegel has long been one of the most respected and in-demand saxophonists on the international jazz scene, having worked with all sorts of luminaries from Amy Winehouse to John McLaughlin! He has garnered this reputation via his ability to play with endless inventiveness and fluidity, coupled with a flawless technique in almost any style of music (as an aside, Julian has also worked as a conductor in classical music!).

In his main area of work - jazz, Julian’s career has seen him working diversely with great big bands (Kenny Wheeler, Hermeto Pascoal, Mike Gibbs, NDR Big Band…and many others); with top vocalists (Dame Cleo Laine, Liane Carroll, Cleveland Watkiss, Beverly Knight etc.); with small bands (led by Nigel Kennedy, Django Bates, Jeff Ballard, Gary Husband etc.) and variously with such international stars as Joey Baron, Bill Frisell and Steve Swallow.
