Martin Shaw has wooed and wowed Spin audiences in past years and we expect no less of a response at this gig!

Martin’s CV is extensive and completely varied, having been a ‘first call’ trumpeter for the jazz glitterati and stars from all sorts of other genres since graduating from the Guildhall School of Music. Just to give an outline of Martin’s career, his biog includes recordings and tours with the likes of Sting, Stan Tracey, Jools Holland, Clio Lane, Brand New Heavies, Jamiroquai, and Dave O’Higgins. He is one of those players that always takes you on a journey via his seamless, lyrical yet powerful improvisations.

Joining Martin for this gig is one of the most brilliant pianists that the UK has produced in many a year: David Gordon. David is one of those rare musicians that is truly a top-drawer player in both classical and jazz settings. For this gig, he is complemented by the outstanding rhythm section of Sandy Burnett (bass) and Paul Cavaciuti (drums).
